It is estimated that in 2000 approximately 8% of the damage in the driver\'s insurance OC were cases of fraud (for a total of 1 billion 60 million Euro). This is a huge amount, and the dealings that is possible in spite of extensive cooperation between law enforcement and insurance companies and the existence of many statistical bases constitute a serious impediment to the effective commission of the offenses to motor insurance. In Britain, where the share of motor insurance is also significant, the level of extortion in this group did not differ substantially from other classes. In 1999, net written premiums from motor insurance amounted to 7 billion pounds (39% of net premiums written in Chapter II), while the offense was only 2.9% of reported damage, which was the cost of 266 million pounds (3.8% contribution assigned to the net). Such an outcome the British insurance companies owe their existence to a large extent is a specific database.
